We Will Dance Again

We Will Dance Again

Back to Paintings

This painting was born from heartbreak. After the events of October 7th, Kenneth Orr wanted to honor the innocent lives lost—young people who showed up to dance, not knowing the horror that would unfold. But this piece isn’t meant to dwell in grief. It’s about defiance, about holding on to joy even when the world tries to take it. Inspired by the spirit of Keith Haring, whose work tackled heavy subjects with a kind of raw, childlike energy, Orr reaches for something similar here. The figures move with purpose. They’re dancing not just in memory, but in hope. Because no matter how deep the pain, we will dance again.
