Kenneth Orr didn’t grow up painting or plan to become an artist. Most of his life has been spent in business and investing, building companies, navigating challenges, and learning through experience. But a few years ago, he picked up a brush on a whim, and something clicked. What started as a casual moment turned into a real outlet: a way to step out of his head and into something quieter, more personal.
His work isn’t about perfection or formal training. It’s about emotion, memory, and creating things that feel honest. Sometimes the pieces are big and bold, other times subtle and slow to reveal themselves. He draws from moments in his own life, from people he loves, from music, and from whatever happens to be on his mind when he’s standing in front of a blank canvas.
Kenneth paints in his home studio, often with music playing and no particular plan. The work on this site is a reflection of that process—imperfect, personal, and deeply meaningful to him. Some pieces honor specific people. Others are more about a feeling or a shift. All of them were made with intention.
He’s still an investor, still curious, still learning. But painting has become a different kind of space. One where there are no rules, no meetings, and no expectations. Just color, texture, and time.
